Finalità Ricerca e divulgazione
Descrizione Rilievo laser scanner del Panopticon del complesso dell’ex-carcere Le Murate. Reverse modelling: dalla nuvola di punti al modello 3D BIM (Building Information Modeling), ovvero realizzazione di un modello 3D interrogabile completo di tutte le informazioni metriche e materiche e da cui poter estrarre elaborati CAD 2D (piante, prospetti, sezioni) e rendering. Virtual tour fotografico interattivo fruibile on-line (in webGL e Flash) su qualsiasi device (pc, tablet e smartphone), realizzato mediante composizione di immagini panoramiche ad alta risoluzione. Ricostruzione 3D della sistemazione originaria. Realizzazione di rendering panoramici fotorealistici e sovrapposizione con il virtual tour dello stato attuale, per un confronto immediato delle due fasi cronologiche. Fruizione del virtual tour in modalità touch-less mediante semplici gesti delle mani tramite Leap Motion Controller. Fruizione delle piante e contenuti aggiuntivi (immagini, dettagli, video) in modalità touch-less mediante semplici gesti delle mani tramite tecnologia Kinect. Fruizione del modello 3D esplorabile in modalità video-game su qualsiasi device tramite software Unity 3D.

Purpose Research and dissemination
Description Laser scanner survey of the Panopticon of “Le Murate” complex, the ex-prison in Florence. Reverse modeling: from the point cloud to the 3D model BIM (Building Information Modeling) that is a 3D model which can be interrogated: it contains metrics and material information. From the BIM model you can extract 2D CAD drwings (plans, sections and elevations) and make renderings. Interactive Virtual tour available on-line (in WebGL and Flash) on any device (PC, tablet and smartphone), realized by merging panoramic images at high resolution. 3D historical reconstruction of the original building. Realization of photorealistic renderings of the old prison overlapped with the virtual tour of the current state, for an immediate comparison of the two chronological phases. Fruition of the virtual tour in touch-less mode through simple hand gestures thanks to the Leap Motion Controller tecnology. Fruition of plans and additional contents (images, details, video) in touch-less mode with simple hand gestures thanks to the Kinect tecnology. The 3D model can be explored in video-game mode on any device through Unity 3D.
